What’s New in Jet?
In case you missed it:
Over the past few months, the Signiant team has been working on additional time-saving features to help you get up and running with Jet and get even more out of our newest, award-winning SaaS product.
Ensure your endpoints are ready to start transferring files
In order to start transferring files with Jet, certain ports have to be open on both your source and destination SDCX servers. To ensure that the required ports are open and all your Jet endpoints are ready to start transferring files, you can now perform a connection test on your route from any web browser. If your connection test fails, you’ll see an error message that will help you diagnose the problem, so that you can get up and running more easily.
Browse the file system to select the source/destination folder for your job
Can’t remember the full path of the folder you want to monitor and transfer from? Or which folder you want your files to end up in? Now you don’t have to. When you create a new job, you can easily browse the file system on both the source and destination.
Transfer files securely over a private network
Many Jet customers have private networks set up between their locations to allow for file transfers without that data traversing the public Internet. Jet endpoints support custom transfer IP addresses which, when set on the source and destination endpoints, allow you to facilitate transfers over your private intranet.
Jet lets you troubleshoot errors as they’re happening
Let’s face it: there are lots of reasons that a file transfer might fail. When a file does happen to end up in an error state – if, for example, the destination storage is full – Jet will display an error message with a link to a bit more detail from the log file. This way, you can start fixing the problem right away, instead of taking time to figure out what went wrong.
Leverage Jet–Signiant’s Intelligent Transport technology
We’ve added several enhancements to ensure Jet customers can fully leverage Signiant’s Intelligent Transport technology, which determines the fastest, most reliable way to move data based on current network conditions. Intelligent Transport is built on a patent-pending mechanism that uses machine learning to make decisions on the fly. Ensure all your endpoints are on v3.2.1 or greater in order to take advantage of Intelligent Transport.
