Signiant joins Entertainment Globalization Association (EGA) as Silver Sponsor
Signiant today announced it is joining the newly formed Entertainment Globalization Association (EGA) as a silver sponsor. The formation of the EGA and Signiant’s sponsorship of the organization reflect the increasing importance of content localization, a market that is expected to grow from its 2020 mark of $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion annually by 2026, according to Slator. Driven largely by the explosive growth of streaming services, there is growing demand for localized content. The EGA was formed to bring together studios, localization houses, and technology suppliers to improve efficiencies in this important piece of the global media supply chain.
Signiant aligns well with the EGA’s mission. More than 50,000 media and entertainment companies rely on its Software-Defined Content Exchange (SDCX) SaaS platform to help make their supply chains more efficient, cost-effective, and scalable. Built on its SDCX SaaS platform, two of Signiant’s products, Media Shuttle and Signiant Jet, are uniquely positioned to serve the localization market, where large companies routinely exchange high-value content with smaller suppliers, where workforces are inherently distributed, and speed, ease-of-use, and security are mission-critical. As cloud-native SaaS solutions, these products are packaged and priced for any-sized business and are easy to deploy and operate at any scale.
Media Shuttle is the easiest and most reliable way for people to send any size file, anywhere, fast.
Signiant Jet offers powerfully simple unattended content exchange, within and between companies.
“We’re thrilled to join the EGA as a sponsor. We’ve had huge growth in the use of our software with localization workflows recently,” commented Jon Finegold, Signiant’s Chief Marketing Officer. “The EGA offers a great opportunity to exchange information with this growing market. We’re particularly excited to share ideas and learnings in the use of cloud technology to improve efficiencies, an area where Signiant is well-known as an innovator and leader.”
“Signiant has a long history of providing innovative tools to media companies around the world to help create and share great stories,” said Chris Fetner, EGA Managing Director. “EGA couldn’t be more honored to have them join the association as a sponsor and support our efforts to facilitate global storytelling.”

About EGA
EGA is a California-based trade association primarily focused on building a stronger connection with the creative talent that entrusts them to “retell” their stories for audiences in different cultures and languages. Its main areas of focus are creating standardization, conducting localization research, creating industry education opportunities, and celebrating high-quality localization. The organization is narrowly focused on entertainment localization and, while only set up at the tail end of 2020, already has nearly 100 member companies and over 300 individual localization professional members.
